New Delhi: A 35-year-old chemist died after a fire broke out following a reactor explosion at a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in Telangana’s Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district while chemical drums were being loaded during routine operations.The incident occurred at the VJ Sai Pharma facility in Dothigudem village, where a sudden chemical reaction triggered an explosion, leading to fatal burn injuries.The deceased was identified as Dhar Pawan, who was working as a chemist at the plant. According to preliminary reports, the accident happened when chemical drums were being transferred into a reactor as part of the production process. During the handling, a chemical reaction reportedly caused an explosion inside one of the drums, which quickly led to a fire inside the unit.Pawan was caught in the flames and suffered severe burn injuries.
