Ranchi: The Jharkhand State Pharmacy Council has issued a strict ultimatum to nearly 2,500 registered pharmacists, warning that their registrations will be cancelled if they fail to complete pending renewal formalities within the stipulated time. The move comes amid growing concern over long-pending renewals, with several pharmacists reportedly failing to renew their registration for more than two years.As per the council’s notice, pharmacists whose registrations have not been renewed for two years or longer have been served a 15-day show-cause notice. They have been directed to explain the delay and complete the renewal process within the given timeframe. Failure to comply will lead to deregistration proceedings, which would make them ineligible to legally practise pharmacy in Jharkhand.The council has clarified that pharmacists must complete the renewal process through the official portal by updating their professional details, uploading required documents, and paying the prescribed renewal fee.
