Ranchi: The liver and kidney transplant services will soon be introduced in the state, with a special financial package to be provided to patients undergoing these procedures, Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari announced on Thursday.He said the government is working tirelessly to strengthen the state’s healthcare system and expects cooperation from the Opposition.According to a UNI report, he alleged that efforts were being made to obstruct development in the health sector, to the RIMS-2 project and proposed infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving emergency services, including lift installations. The Health Minister said providing quality medical facilities to the people of the state remains his top priority.The hospital will offer multi-speciality services equipped with advanced technology, including organ transplant facilities, gynaecology and obstetrics, plastic surgery, and a high-tech pathology laboratory. It houses Jharkhand’s first robotic surgery facility, has a capacity of 150 beds, four modular operation theatres, an 8,000 sq ft ICU, and a 20-bed NICU.Hospital CEO Dr Majid Alam announced that 10 beds will be reserved on a charitable basis for underprivileged patients. The facility will offer services such as bariatric surgery, advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures, microscopic and endoscopic spine surgery, advanced urological surgery, interventional radiology, high-risk pregnancy management, and cancer screening and surgeries. Kidney and liver transplant services are also planned to be launched at the hospital in the near future.Also Read:Jharkhand Govt approves 245 block public health units at Rs 203.35 Crore
