Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly posing as a doctor robbed a patient of her gold ornaments after administering an injection at Yashoda hospital in Secunderabad on Wednesday. According to the police, the victim had been admitted to the hospital for treatment and was scheduled to be discharged the same day. While she was waiting to complete the discharge process, a woman wearing a doctor’s apron reportedly entered the room and asked the patient’s relatives to step outside, stating that she needed to administer an injection.Also Read:Cyber Fraud: Mumbai woman duped of Rs 50.8 lakh by man posing as GynaecologistShortly after administering the injection, the woman left the room. Speaking to Telangana Today, an official of Monda Market police station, “The relatives of Sudha Rani went inside the room and found she was in an unconscious state, and gold ornaments weighing around 10 tolas were missing.”Hospital authorities reportedly clarified that the woman was not an employee of the hospital. The victim’s family then filed a complaint with the police, reports Hyderabad Mail.
Police are currently examining CCTV footage from the hospital premises to identify the suspect and trace her movements. Investigators are also checking past criminal records to determine whether similar incidents involving impersonators targeting hospital patients have been reported.

According to the complaint, the accused arrived at the couple’s house on a motorcycle in Pochampally and introduced himself as an Ayurvedic practitioner offering infertility treatment.
