Bhubaneswar: The Global
Association of Indian Medical Students (GAIMS) has announced the launch of a Special Edition on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) under its GAIMS-AXIS
initiative, reaffirming its commitment to advancing academic excellence and
community-driven medical scholarship.

Antimicrobial resistance
(AMR) occurs when microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites evolve to
resist medicines (antimicrobials) meant to kill them, making infections harder
or impossible to treat, increasing illness, death, and healthcare costs. Also Read:Former AIIMS Director warns against antimicrobial resistance after PM Modi’s advisoryThe Special Edition is
