Hyderabad: A 28-year-old pharmacist was allegedly killed by her husband following a domestic dispute at their residence in Banjara Hills, sending shockwaves across the upscale neighbourhood.According to the police, the incident occurred on Saturday night around 9.30 pm in the Film Nagar area under the limits of the Banjara Hills Police. The victim, identified as Kapu Aruna, was residing with her husband G. Kopanna and their two young sons. The family reportedly hailed from Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh, while Aruna was employed as a pharmacist in Hyderabad.Police officials stated that Kopanna returned home in an inebriated condition, after which Aruna questioned him about his alcohol consumption and asked him to stop drinking. This reportedly triggered a heated argument between the couple.During the altercation, Aruna allegedly took a saree, tied it to a ceiling hook, and stood on a stool, threatening to take her life if her husband did not give up alcohol.
