Thiruvananthapuram: A woman who allegedly posed as a neurosurgeon at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital was caught and later arrested by the hospital security staff. According to the news reports, the woman reportedly entered the super-speciality block claiming to be a doctor. She wore a stethoscope and attempted to move around the hospital without raising suspicion. Initial reports suggest that she is a native of Perunna and has stated that she resides in Peroorkada.  Also Read:Matrimony App Fraud: Fake NRI doctor dupes techie of Rs 6.43 lakhThe security staff, who were suspicious of her behaviour as a senior neurosurgeon, informed the authorities. After checking the CCTV footage, it became clear that she had been roaming around in places, including the canteen. She went missing in the meantime. The female security staff caught the woman later, when she tried to escape by sneaking into an autorickshaw in front of the multi-speciality block in disguise, reports the Kerala Kaumudi.The Medical College Police have registered a case, and the woman is currently under interrogation. Her real identity is unknown, as she has reportedly used multiple aliases.
