New Delhi: The Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, has issued a public notice inviting comments and suggestions from stakeholders on proposed amendments to the Global Tender Enquiry (GTE) Exemption List, containing a total of 354 medical devices across categories such as critical care, cardiology, imaging, ENT, laboratory diagnostics, and advanced surgical equipment.According to Public Notice No. MD/2026 dated February 11, 2026, the department has sought feedback on revisions to the existing GTE Exemption List, which currently covers 354 medical devices. The move is aimed at reassessing the inclusion or exclusion of devices based on domestic manufacturing availability and capacity.This is followed by the earlier Office Memorandum dated February 17, 2025, through which the Department had notified the updated GTE Exemption framework, along with the comprehensive list of 354 exempted medical devices.
