Hyderabad: A private hospital in Puppalguda, Hyderabad, has been booked for alleged medical negligence after a patient undergoing dialysis session died due to cardiac arrest during the procedure.  According to the police complaint, the patient was brought to the Medicover hospital at around 5:00 am on February 26 for a scheduled dialysis session. It was further alleged that a doctor informed the family that no one was available at the facility at that time to fix the catheter.   As reported by The Siasat Daily, the family claimed that the patient was subsequently advised to shift to another facility belonging to the same hospital group located in the Financial District, Puppalguda. Later, the patient reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest.  Following the complaint lodged on February 26, the police booked the hospital on February 27. A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway to determine whether there was any lapse in clinical management, emergency response, or adherence to established dialysis safety protocols.  According to The Hindu, in his complaint, Mr Krishna stated that hospital authorities were immediately informed about the issue.
